Our Week in the Forest
Hello everyone, and happy Friday! We’ve zoomed, skipped, and adventured our way through another wonderful week here at Little Forest Folk Morden.
This week began with a sprinkle of pure magic as we returned to the forest to find a very special surprise waiting for us. Last week, some lovely fairies kindly asked if they could move into our forest and of course, we said yes! So you can imagine our delight when we arrived to discover enchanting fairy doors tucked all throughout the forest. The excitement was truly sparkling. ⭐️
With our focus on teamwork and cooperative play, we created a variety of imaginative role-play spaces that encouraged our little ones to collaborate in creative and playful ways. One much loved area was our hair salon where, armed with combs and recycled empty hair product bottles, our friends worked together to give each other and even our educators some truly fabulous hair transformations!
The following day, the forest came alive with music during our karaoke role play. Featuring some of our most-loved forest tunes, our friends performed their hearts out with confidence and joy. A standout favourite was The Greatest Showman playlist, which brought big smiles and even bigger performances. ⭐️
Another highlight of the week was the introduction of a projector, which helped us transform our indoor space into a cosy, calming retreat as the evenings settled in. One of our educators brought in their projector, and we were mesmerised by peaceful fish swimming across the ceiling, as if we were drifting beneath the ocean. It has been a beautiful way to wind down, connect and enjoy some quiet, quality time together. ⭐️
